Strengthening Aviation Cooperation Between Vietnam and Armenia

Deputy Director General Do Hong Cam held a working session with Ms. Tatevik Revazian - Senior Vice President of Osprey Flight Solutions, former Director General of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia - and representative from the Embassy of Armenia in Hanoi.

On June 20, 2025, at the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), Deputy Director General Do Hong Cam held a working session with Ms. Tatevik Revazian - Senior Vice President of Osprey Flight Solutions, former Director General of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia - and representative from the Embassy of Armenia in Hanoi.

The meeting was attended by head and officials from the Air Transport Department and Legal & International Cooperation Department, along with representatives from Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air.

During the session, both sides exchanged views on the potential for aviation cooperation, with a particular focus on the prospect of signing a bilateral Air Services Agreement between the governments of Vietnam and Armenia, as well as the possibility of establishing a direct air route between the two countries in the near future.

Ms. Tatevik Revazian emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to the conclusion of a bilateral Air Services Agreement with Vietnam, considering it a vital legal foundation to enhance collaboration between airlines of both nations.
Deputy Director General Do Hong Cam affirmed CAAV’s willingness to coordinate and engage with the Armenian side toward the timely signing of the agreement. CAAV also provided an overview of Vietnam’s regulatory framework and licensing procedures related to the launch of new international routes, aiming to facilitate planning and operational studies by carriers from both countries.

At the meeting, a representative from Vietnam Airlines shared that, as part of its five-year plan, the airline is exploring the possibility of extending operations to the Middle East and other emerging markets.

The meeting concluded in a constructive and open atmosphere, reflecting the mutual goodwill and shared interest in fostering stronger aviation ties between Vietnam and Armenia in the coming years./.
